Recipes for Apple Season!

A round-up of apple recipes for apple season! Perfect if you go apple picking this weekend and have lots of apples on hand. Honeycrisp are my current favorite – crisp, juicy, and beyond sweet! What’s your favorite apple?

This might be an unpopular thing to say, but I prefer apple flavors over pumpkin flavors. I even prefer pear flavors over pumpkin flavors. Pumpkin might get all the attention this fall season, but make sure to give some love to apples and pears this time of year. They’re crisp, juicy, and beyond sweet. Not to mention as I dietitian I love how much fiber they have! That’s right, promoting fiber when and where I can, always!

Have you ever been apple picking? As a Floridian, I can only say that I’ve experienced this once in my lifetime. I was on a trip (for work) to Virginia and while I wasn’t able to bring back loads of apples to cook or bake with, I did love walking through the apple orchards. Seeing all the different apples really makes you appreciate their taste and beauty (just look at that picture!) And of course, I made sure to have an apple cider donut. That donut might be my favorite memory from the apple picking. Or maybe it was running to our Uber that came in less than a minute and said we had 10 minutes. Either way, make sure you get to go apple picking at least once in your lifetime!

Below you’ll find all the apple recipes from my site. The Cinnamon Skillet Apples are simply the best, just apples and cinnamon. Add them to your oatmeal, yogurt, or pancakes. If I had to choose a favorite, that would be it! Although the Fall Sangria might be calling my name too! Whatever you make, make sure to include apples in all the recipes this apple season!
