This Strawberry Basil Mocktail is perfect for Dry January or Sober October. It’s made with strawberries, basil, lime juice, and a simple syrup for a refreshing spritzer. It’s simple to make and enjoy all year long! Cheers!

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 45 strawberries (depending on their size)
  • 23 basil leaves (also depending on their size)
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 4 ounces sparkling water
  • Garnish: one basil leaf, lemon slice, *optional

Instructions

  1. Muddle the strawberries and basil. Add 2-3 basil leaves to your mason jar or cocktail shaker. Add 4-5 strawberries and begin to muddle the two together. Muddling helps the two flavors marry together. Remember mint can be used in place of basil!
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add in your sparkling water, lemon juice, simple syrup (if using), and ice.
  3. Shake for 10-15 seconds, or until well chilled.
  4. Strain – use a strainer and pour into a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish – add a basil leaf or lemon slice for garnish. Cheers!
